The Engaged New Settlements for Irulars in Irumbedu Nagar is a transformative resettlement project led by AID India, aimed at relocating the Irular community from hazardous conditions near garbage dumps to newly allocated, safer land provided by the local government.
This initiative goes beyond mere relocation, it focuses on holistic community development by addressing critical aspects such as housing, livelihood, education, and empowerment. By providing stable homes, vocational training, and access to quality education, the project aims to uplift the Irular community, fostering self-sufficiency and resilience. We are committed to ensuring that these families not only find safety and security in their new environment but also thrive and build a brighter future for generations to come.
