During the nationwide lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, millions of daily wage earners lost their livelihoods and struggled to meet basic needs. In response, we launched a decentralized relief program to support the most affected families across rural villages and urban slums. The initiative focused on providing essential food provisions, hygiene products, and emergency rations to those hit hardest by the crisis.

To ensure both safety and efficiency, a decentralized model was adopted, empowering local volunteers to identify and assist struggling families within their own communities. This grassroots approach enabled quick, low-contact delivery of aid, directly to the doorsteps of those in need. In addition to relief distribution, livelihood support was extended to help individuals revive or strengthen their small businesses such as vegetable vendors, flower sellers, tiffin service providers, fruit stalls, and petti shops. By offering financial assistance, the program helped restore dignity and self-reliance to families trying to rebuild after the economic fallout. Our timely intervention helped bring critical relief to many underserved households.
